Leyda Single Vineyard Neblina Riesling 2018 among the top South American Rieslings in Decanter
"The renowned journalist Patricio Tapia – responsible for tasting Chilean wines for Decanter – drew attention to Leyda Single Vineyard Neblina Riesling 2018 in the January 2019 edition as one of the Top Rieslings of South America. "
With regards to refreshing wines, Riesling has slowly begun to appeal to wine lovers. Even though it has little body, it has become a great companion for adventure among the region’s viticulturists.
"On this occasion, the wine expert defined Leyda Single Vineyard Neblina Riesling 2018 as one of the Top 12 Rieslings of the Southern Cone. The wine belongs to the elegant portfolio of Viña Leyda – which pioneered the valley of the same name and is specialized in producing cool coastal climate wines."
In addition, it scored 91 points and was described by Tapia with the following tasting notes:
“Leyda’s riesling vineyards are planted towards to the east, which means they directly face the coast. This can be perceived in this white wine’s delicious acidity and saline flavors. It has a texture full of nerve, laden with mineral notes and white fruit hints. Deliciously herbal to finish”.
