Leyda LOT 21 Pinot Noir receives 95 points and features among “Best Pinot Noirs” in Descorchados 2019
With over 20 years’ history, the latest edition of Decorchados 2019 from specialist journalist Patricio Tapia has been released. The magazine brings together the finest 80 Chilean wineries, presenting their acclaimed ranges and latest vintages.
“Viña Leyda is specialized in producing expressive, fresh, elegant wines from a cool coastal climate. The winery excelled in seven categories in the latest edition of Decorchados 2019 and received outstanding scores.”
"Leyda Lot 21 Pinot Noir 2017 featured in the “Best Pinot Noir” and the “Best of the Leyda Valley” categories, with an incredible 95 points. In turn, the Leyda Lot 5 Chardonnay 2017 stood out in the “Best Chardonnay” and “Best of the Leyda Valley” categories with 94 points. "
Regarding the Leyda Single Vineyard range, Leyda Single Vineyard Garuma Sauvignon Blanc 2018 and Leyda Single Vineyard Cahuil Pinot Noir 2017 stood out with 94 points. The wines also placed in the “Best of the Leyda Valley” category and the latter in the “Best Pinot Noir” category.
Meanwhile, Leyda Single Vineyard Las Brisas Pinot Noir 2017 and Leyda Single Vineyard Kadún Sauvignon Gris 2016 scored an excellent 93 points, with the latter qualifying for the “Revelation” and “Best of other White Varieties”.
In the same range, Leyda Single Vineyard Falaris Hill Chardonnay 2017 and Leyda Single Vineyard Canelo Syrah 2017 received excellent 91 point scores, as did the Leyda Single Vineyard Neblina Riesling 2018 which also placed among in the “Best Riesling” category.
Another range from this elegant wine brand which placed within the “Revelation” category was Leyda Reserva Pinot Noir 2018, which managed to score 91 points among a great variety of featured wines. Meanwhile, Leyda Reserva Sauvignon Blanc 2018 received 92 points.
Furthermore, Leyda Extra Brut stood out in the “Best Sparklings” category with 92 points.
These acknowledgments highlight the work behind the elegant wines from the pioneering winery of the Leyda Valley.
