Viña Leyda receives two double Gold Medals in the Sakura Japan Women’s Wine Awards 2019
"The results were recently announced for the sixth version of the important Sakura Japan Women’s Wine Awards 2019, in which Viña Leyda – pioneer of the valley with the same name – received Double Gold Medals for two of its white varieties."
Leyda Lot 4 Sauvignon Blanc 2016 and Leyda Reserva Chardonnay 2017 stood out with this important acknowledgment among 4,326 wines from 34 countries, which were blind-tasted by experts over two days.
Meanwhile, Leyda Single Vineyard Garuma Sauvignon Blanc 2018 and Leyda Single Vineyard Las Brisas Pinot Noir 2017 were also awarded Gold Medals in this version of the event, followed by Leyda Lot 8 Syrah 2015, which received Silver Medal.
These outstanding acknowledgments reinforce Leyda’s winemaking consistency in producing Cool Coastal Climate wines.
